BOGMIRE, THE CEMETERY SHADOW

You WILL fear me...... You WILL despair me.....

Wikia information:
Bogmire, the Cemetery Shadow (Japanese: シャドーマ Shadōma), is a purple portrait ghost of unknown age from the game and the boss of Area 2. The ghoul resided in the Graveyard of Luigi's Mansion during the events of the game. Bogmire is the manifestation of the mansion's fear and despair, although the powerful ghost itself does not know who to fear or what to despair. Bogmire can summon shadowy duplicates of himself. He can also teleport around an area with a flash of lightning. Bogmire was the boss of the second area of Luigi's Mansion.
Luigi encountered the powerful Bogmire during his quest to save his brother Mario from King Boo. During Luigi's investigation of the Graveyard, the green-clad hero discovered three Skeleton Ghosts hiding in the tombstones. After dispatching them with the Poltergust 3000, the main headstone began to glow. As Luigi approached the stone, Bogmire revealed himself and transported Luigi to his cemetery lair.

Once in the lair, Luigi and Bogmire began to battle. To attack the novice ghost hunter, Bogmire created shadowy clones of himself, ranging from miniature-sized ghosts to enormous duplicates. These shadowy spirits would then attack Luigi as Bogmire warped around the arena, avoiding the green-clad hero. Unfortunately, Luigi discovered he could not suck Bogmire up with the Poltergust 3000. To capture Bogmire, Luigi had to pull in one of Bogmire's shadow clones with the Poltergust. The ghost would then form into a shadowy ball at the end of Luigi's vacuum weapon. The plumber could then fire the shadow ball at Bogmire, surrounding the ghost in darkness and rendering him vulnerable. With the ghost's heart revealed, Luigi could finally use the Poltergust against Bogmire. However, as Luigi was pulling the powerful ghost in, the plumber also had to avoid the shadowy duplicates who converged on his position, hoping to free Bogmire and injure Luigi. To do that he first had to clear the arena by circling around it until the sinister shadows bunched up together while in pursuit and sucking them all. Eventually, after a hard battle, Luigi emerged the victor and captured Bogmire. Returning to the Graveyard, Luigi discovered the chest to the key to the Courtyard and the next leg of his journey began.

Luigi encounters Bogmire during his quest to save his brother, Mario from King Boo. Three (five in the Hidden Mansion) Skeleton Ghosts hide in the tombstones in the area prior to the boss fight. After Luigi dispatches them with the Poltergust 3000, the main headstone begins to glow. As Luigi approached the stone, Bogmire reveals himself and transports Luigi to an arena.

Once in the arena, the battle begins. To attack Luigi, Bogmire creates Black Bogmires, ranging from small to large sizes. These duplicates would then attack Luigi as Bogmire warps around the arena. To capture Bogmire, Luigi has suck in the ghosts, which would then turn into a ball. He should fire the shadow ball at Bogmire, which renders him vulnerable. As all ghosts, Luigi can then proceed to suck Bogmire in. During the process, Luigi has to avoid the shadowy duplicates. Eventually, Luigi captures Bogmire. A chest that contained the key to the Courtyard appears, which then allows Luigi to proceed to the next area of the mansion.

Trivia

Bogmire's name derives from "bog" and "quagmire" (or just "mire"), two types of swamps.
The Spoils Bag from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has a face that much resembles Bogmire's.
Surprisingly, Bogmire is the only boss ghost who doesn't try to attack Luigi. Also, he is the only portrait ghost who doesn't have any lines whatsoever during the whole game. It is impossible even to scan his heart for a line.
Bouldergeist from Super Mario Galaxy resembles Bogmire.
Magmaws from Super Mario Galaxy 2 bears a slight resemblance to Bogmire, both in appearance and in the sounds they make.
Strangely enough, it is said in the Game Boy Horror that Bogmire is the "product of the mansion's fear," but the only Portrait Ghost that E. Gadd didn't capture is King Boo.

Information

Bogmire barely speaks, don't expect a response from him all the time
Bogmire always carries a thunderstorm with him
Bogmire looks stationary but teleports with every lightning strike and go into other's shadows
Bogmire can create shadow clones of himself, I do not want complaints like "OMIGAAWWWWD UR SUCH A SUUUUEEEE!" You will be blocked from all my accounts.
I know the clones are called "Black Bogmires", but i'm afraid some 5 year old idiot will start complaining i'm racist.
Bogmire can be neutral once confronted, he only likes to get a good scare out of people, he only seems to go after the Mario Bros as enemies.

Role: Antagonist
Species: Ghost, Manifestation
Gender: Male
Abilities: Cannot die (but can be imprisoned), Control the storm he has, each strike will create a clone of himself, non-soluble, teleportation over short distances.

TRIVIA

Bogmire's name are 2 different names of a swamp meshed into one.
Bogmire bears resemblance to Bouldergeist, a giant, rock formed ghost who has the same eyes and mouth, along with the body.
The creeper from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon also resembles Bogmire.
Bogmire is the only portrait ghost in the game to not have any dialogue, it's even impossible to scan his heart to see any lines.
Bogmire resembles an oozing angel.
Along with Chauncey, the born-a-ghost baby, Bogmire seems to be also born a ghost, due to being a manifestation of the mansion's fear and despair, and during the events of Luigi's Mansion, the Mansion "appeared" only a few nights ago.

“We are the madness that lurks within you all, begging to be free at every moment in your deepest animal mind. We are what you hide from in your beds every night. We are what you sedate into silence and paralysis when you go to the nocturnal haven where we cannot tread.” ~Russian Sleep Experiment Subject

"The flash is my cloak, the dark night is my home."
